Styling Paper Sushi's Floral Calligraphy Wedding Suite

Posted by Emily on

Since we've been diving head first into printing our most popular wedding suite designs, we decided to make another styling post for our personal favorite: the Floral Calligraphy Suite. We use a high quality local print shop, as all of our paper goods are printed with love right here in Portland!  This suite is digitally printed on luxe 120# cover weight kraft paper (330 gsm). We've sourced our envelopes from Paper Source, our trusty paper and paper accessories shop.

You can find the listing for the Floral Calligraphy Wedding Suite Stamps here.  But, if you'd like to print yours, email us!

Our choice colors and color combinations this season are botanical greens, rich purples, pretty peaches, and tan (think kraft paper)! So, for the Floral Calligraphy Suite, we've decided to combine mint green and black envelopes, kraft paper, and hints of eggplant.

Since we cannot part with our rubber stamps, we've decided to work our address stamp into these shots! Of course, we could always print our return address on our envelope flaps and RSVP envelopes!

Here I've used our favorite fine detail ink, VersaFine in black, to stamp our return address onto our RSVP envelopes. Encore's Silver ink is perfect for the return address on our black invitation envelope flaps.

After stamping our RSVP envelopes, we slipped our RSVP card inside and lightly taped the flap with some silver metallic washi tape!

We made a coordinating envelope liner for our Floral Calligraphy Suite, which I trimmed out according to our envelope liner template. Make sure to round the corners around the flap - this will give the liner a softer look. Simply slip the liner inside of the envelope, line up the edges just under the gummed part of the envelope flap, and lightly glue the top corner and edges to ensure the liner stays put.

Something our wedding suites don't normally include is accommodation cards! So, we decided to add that option to this suite.

After placing the liner into the envelope, we piled together the invitation, accommodations card, and RSVP with envelope. We decided to add a bright belly band to hold the suite together! This belly band can be stamped with our custom Please Visit Our Website stamp with VersaFine ink in black. We love how natural and botanical this suite looks all pieced together! Something fresh and current for the 2015 wedding season!

Before slipping the suite into its black envelope, we made sure to imprint our address stamp on the outer flap! We also decided to imprint one of our new favorite stamps, the Please Deliver To Banner stamp, onto the front just over where we wrote the delivery address! We stamped our Please Deliver To Banner Stamp with ColorBox pigment ink in Turtle, and embossed with a bright green embossing powder.

For a finishing touch, we sealed the envelope with the same shiny silver washi tape we used on the inside RSVP envelope! Don't forget to use some lovely vintage botanical postage stamps to tie the whole look together!

We hope we've inspired you to have some fun with your Paper Sushi wedding invitation stamps! DIY wedding invitations have endless possibilities! We'd love to see how you style your suite!
