Styling Paper Sushi's Art Deco Wedding Suite

Posted on

Copper is huge! We've been seeing copper everywhere and we're just smitten! We got our paws on some copper embossing powder and haven't stopped sprinkling it on everything in sight! So, what better a way to show off our new addiction than embossing one of our most sophisticated suites, the Art Deco Wedding Suite.

You can purchase the Art Deco Wedding Suite here! But, if you'd like to print yours, email us!

Copper has taken over the studio! You can now purchase some Encore Copper ink here.

Using our envelope liner template, we cut out some lovely hand drawn art-deco styled paper in a copper color! You can use the envelope liner template from Paper Source to do the same. Contact us if you're interested in getting some art deco envelope liners! We simply slipped the liner into the invitation envelope and lightly glued the edges.

We gathered up our A7 and 4Bar paper supplies (all from Paper Source) in two different grays. We found that the gray really enhances the lovely metallic copper! We started by stamping our return address onto the invitation flap and the RSVP envelope. Both were stamped using our Copper ink and then sprinkled with super fine detail copper embossing powder.

We then stamped the RSVP onto our Gray 4 Bar cards with the copper ink and followed up with copper embossing powder!

We also stamped our lovely invitation with copper ink onto some A7 cards. Not to forget the copper embossing powder!

After stamping all of our paper, we set up to emboss! Before setting the powder, we made sure to take a small dry paintbrush to flick off any embossing powder that was out of place. Using our amazing embossing heat gun from Paper Source, we then heat set all four suite pieces!

The copper embossing results are just so gorgeous and shiny!

Before slipping it into our lovely lined envelope, we decided to copper stamp and emboss the invitation accent onto a paper belly band the same color as the envelope!

How elegant is this Art Deco suite!?

For a finishing touch, we sealed the envelope with some copper metallic patterned washi tape! Don't forget to use some art deco vintage postage stamps to tie it all together!

We hope we've inspired you to have some fun with your Paper Sushi wedding invitation stamps! DIY wedding invitations have endless possibilities! We'd love to see how you style your suite!
